Reproductive transitions such as perimenopause and pregnancy can profoundly impact health. Infertility can bring prolonged uncertainty, grief, and treatment-related distress. Pregnancy can change symptoms, medication needs and the consequences of relapse. After birth, severe sleep disruption and rapid biological and social changes can contribute to depression, anxiety, OCD, mania or postpartum psychosis.
